Have you ever wanted to know what happens when a seventeen year old girl drops out of high school, runs away from home, ends up on the streets of Las Vegas, starts landing gigs as a model and showgirl, gets wrapped up in the underbelly of the city, loses everything, unsuccessfully attempts to end her life in the bathroom of a cheap motel, finally decides to leave Sin City for good, goes back to college to study writing, then pens a three-part memoir about the entire experience?
Good news: you’ve come to the right place to find out.
The Vegas Diaries is a memoir that focuses on the six years I spent living and working in America’s Playground. If you’ve ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes in Las Vegas and what happens beyond the Strip, this is the book for you. It’s a raw, no holds barred tell-all of an ordinary girl who found herself in extraordinary circumstances, both good and bad.
But as guilty of a pleasure as this book is, telling oodles of wild and crazy stories and exposing the nitty-gritty of Las Vegas isn’t my main goal. It’s the thought that sharing it with others might provide inspiration, help other young women avoid the same mistakes in life and in love, and prove that no matter what happens, you can always pick up the pieces and turn your life around. Always.
